This is an infinitely interesting article about the algorithm they use in pokemon to decide if you'll catch the pokemon. I had no idea there was this much math behind it! I always figured it was sheer dumb luck. It sure does get complicated though, I kinda lost track about halfway through. Interesting for pokemon fans and people completely foreign to the game alike.
Good ole bulbapedia. Pokemon has some serious maths going on sometimes. Stuff like effort values and individual values and whatever for people that want to get super serious about the game.
