Shit Happens

Killer Toilets

On an immature note, here is an article that addresses a fear that, while irrational, has crossed all of our minds at some point. Apparently people are actually getting injured frequently enough by toilets.

Minecraft is Fun!

Minecraft Mobs

For all the thousands of Minecraft players out there, here's a good site for you! For non-Minecraft players, Minecraft Mobs are the characters in the game other than yourself. These range from pigs to creepers. This is a neat page about all of the different ones, old ones that aren't there any more, potential ones, and unused one that are in the coding. All of them are interesting though!

WikiSpaces

Wiki Spaces

For any and all people interested in making their own Wiki page, here is the website for you! This is like the Blogger of Wiki pages, it's an easy to use maker for people who don't have the skill or time (such as myself) to make their own site. A pretty cool idea to spread the concept of Wikis even further which makes my job easier!

List of Misconceptions about Illegal Drugs

List of Misconceptions about Illegal Drugs

Now before you freak out, I am not in any way condoning the use of illegal drugs, but that doesn't mean this article isn't really cool. All of those crazy stories you heard about drugs are probably untrue, but to be sure, read this article. Almost as informative as the standard List of Common Misconceptions, but equally interesting!

Conservapedia!

Conservapedia

While we all love Wikipedia, we know that it's all lies and liberal propaganda! So we should get our information from the much more intellectual written, accurate, and completely unbiased Conservapedia! These people know what they are talking about in topics ranging from quantum mechanics to immortality. We should all use Conservapedia because if you don't the socialists will take away your guns, while persecuting the brilliant minds of our time, like Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, and Rush Limbaugh

Some of my personal favorites-
Athiesm
Evolution
Liberals
Homosexual
Wikipedia
Immorality

Zeno's Paradoxes

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeno's_paradoxes

Paradoxes, entertaining and interesting, but also confusing and infuriating. We all love paradoxes simply because they defy all reality but still make sense! Always a good reminder as to how strange the world truly is, they are great to analyze, ponder, and derive, but also can be just there to enjoy.

For anyone who is really interested http://listverse.com/2010/05/28/11-brain-twisting-paradoxes/ is another good source for paradoxes, some are mentioned in both.

K Foundation Burn a Million Quid

K Foundation Burns a Million Quid

This is the story of a pop group that earned a millions pounds and decided to burn it. A book and a movie were made about the event. I can't imagine even burning ten so these guys have my respect. I'd bet that it could help take down inflation a bit but apparently that wasn't their reason. The worst part is that one of the guys actually admitted regretting it later!

Back to the Future Movies History

 Back to the Future History

Back to the Future is one of the most popular and beloved movie series of all time. Everybody loves them, and if they don't, they are wrong. Just joking, but not really. They did a great job of keeping the timeline consistent and coherent, which is not an easy feet with time travel movies. This page shows the history for series as a whole.

Wikihow

Wikihow

I remembered that this site is called Top Wiki Pages, so I should be linking to things other than just Wikipedia. I know I had one to Bulbapedia for the Catch Rate, but other than that, they were all Wikipedia. So, this is an entire site rather than just a page, but it is still really cool. Most of you have probably seen this before anyway but for those that haven't, it's a site devoted to how-to's and DIY's. It covers topics from personal hygiene to finances. From Holidays to Family Life. Wikihow has it all.

Lucid Dreaming

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream

One of the coolest possible concepts imaginable. Imagine a world where you have complete control over every single thing. If you can imagine it, you can do it. The possibilities are endless! Some great sites for lucid dreaming are ld4all.com and lucidipedia.com. Both are great resources for people wanting to get into this, I can't stress how incredible and endlessly amazing this topic is, DO THIS. You're life will be changed for the better! Want to sky dive into a volcano, check! One man army, check! Fly, check! All within the safety of your dreams.

1st Academy Awards

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1st_Academy_Awards

A neat page on the very first Academy Awards. I personally love them and to read about its history is pretty cool. The ceremonies sure have come a long way, although, the awards haven't changed all that much. They're still the basic ones, and a few have been added.

Vorpal Sword

A powerful sword that I've seen in many different games including League of Legends and D&D, I never knew that it originated from the same author (Lewis Carroll) of Alice in Wonderland. Read the story, it's short, interesting, and funny!

The Exception that Proves the Rule

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exception_that_proves_the_rule

A really cool idea that I've heard of before, but never took the time to look up. It really is an interesting concept but unfortunately, they're aren't many actual examples that are listed. I wish there were, it would be really cool to be able to list off a few. I personally can't think of any myself! Can you?

Paradox of Intolerance

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance

The tolerance paradox arises from a problem that a tolerant person might be antagonistic toward intolerance, hence intolerant of it. The tolerant individual would then be by definition intolerant of intolerance. I love paradoxes and this is a cool one!

Sensational Spelling

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensational_spelling

This is the theory behind products like Froot Loops! I've noticed this on a few dozens hundreds of products but never took the time to really think about it. Another thing that is constantly taking effect and affecting our lives with out us even thinking about it.

Catch Rate

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Catch_rate

This is an infinitely interesting article about the algorithm they use in pokemon to decide if you'll catch the pokemon. I had no idea there was this much math behind it! I always figured it was sheer dumb luck. It sure does get complicated though, I kinda lost track about halfway through. Interesting for pokemon fans and people completely foreign to the game alike.

Wikipedia Game

Fun little thing to do if you're bored.
1. Pick a target article.
2. Start with random article.
3. Using only links (blue text) try to reach your target article.
4. Celebrate Victory!

Two Player Mod

1. Pick a target article.
2. Start with random article.
3. Frantically click through blue links until one of you gets to said target article (or cheats while the other one is distracted).

Fun Fact: All links lead to philosophy.
4. Celebrate/Gloat Victory!

Involuntary Celibacy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Involuntary_celibacy

A rather funny article about involuntary celibacy which you can guess, is someone who wants to get laid, but doesn't have the basic social skills in order to achieve said laying. Anything remotely sexual has a humorous tone when it is explained by our old friend Wikipedia.

Unusual Articles Take Two

One could easily spend hours following these articles, they're awesome. Every one of these links sends you to some awesome and strange article. This page practically did all of the work for me! I love this page. You could instantly seem much more intelligent if you just read all of these and brought them up in conversation.

And in case that link doesn't work, here it is a text:

Common Misconception

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_misconceptions

My personal favorite article on all of Wikipedia, a nifty list of common misconceptions to be the life of a party!

Blood in the Water

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_in_the_Water_match

An awful match between two nations. I always wondered what would happen if there were a sports event in the middle of another country that hated them. I guess this is it...

LOL Cats

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memes

I've always seen these things around, but never actually knew what they were. Now I know, they are lolcats. It's pretty cool. I'm definitely gonna look some of these up. They're hilarious!

Cellar Door

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellar_door

This is a really interesting article that I found through the movie Donnie Darko. It is supposedly the most b-e-a-utiful phrase in the english language. I'd have to disagree though, I don't really see what's so great about it. But, whatever... still cool.

Meta Jokes

Rather Popular article on Meta-humor, great jokes!!!
